Strong acid cation exchange resin(SAC) is a kind of ion exchange resin with a functional group of sulfonic acid, in great demand in the water treatment systems for its excellent dynamic properties. The Strong Acid Cation Exchange Resin shows excellent physical and chemical stability, which operates at any pH(1-14), and is relatively stable to temperature, even in high temperatures of 100-120℃. Strong acid cation exchange resin has two structures, gel and macroporous.
One of our experienced IX resin experts will help you get the right type of resin for your applications.
We provide various crosslinkage gel type, from 4% to 16%. The standard crosslinkage gel SAC resin is usually used in residential water system; The higher crosslinkage SAC resin has longer operating life, and used in regenerable mixed bed.
The gel-type SAC resin has excellent properties for industrial water softening and demineralization applications.
Macroporous polystyrene resins have pore structures significantly more robust than polystyrene gel resins that allow macroporous resins to be used as catalysts as well as enable use in non-polar applications unsuitable for gel resins.
In general, strong acid cation macroporous ion exchange resins often provide higher selectivity than their gel counterparts.
